Fraudulent Email Alert
Please be aware of fraudulent emails circulating, claiming to be from the Electronic Payments or ACH network. These fraudulent emails claim that a payment was rejected, and asks you to click a link to view the report. Do not click on any links in these emails or respond with any confidential information, such as account numbers, debit card numbers, or Social Security Numbers. Clicking on a link in this type of email could expose a computer to malicious software that could track keystrokes, potentially giving access to private information such as account passwords.
Also remember that Mahopac National Bank will never contact you via cell phone and ask you for your account number and PIN number. Being contacted like this is considered a phishing attempt. For more information click here to be directed to our security pages.
